How to Check your iPhone’s Warranty?

If you are in India, buying an iPhone is nonetheless a dream for everyone, or say it’s a craze for being in the limelight. However, not everyone could afford to buy an iPhone here in India when most of the population comes from the middle-class background. Those who can afford also change it frequently just after the release of a new model. So, what happens to the older pieces? Some people give it to their family members to reuse it while some sell it to the resellers of Second-hand Phones, while some just contribute it to the landfills.

We at Mobi Trade, do not entertain in contributing to e-waste. We buy good-quality second-hand phones from the people who don’t need their smart phones anymore and sell them to the people who wish to keep premium phones but cannot afford to buy. If you are looking to save money but need to buy an iPhone, then consider buying a pre-owned iPhone. You will find a plethora of second-hand iPhones in the market. But before buying a pre-owned iPhone, you must check whether the device is under warranty or not. Warranty of your phone provides you guarantee that if your phone has any manufacturing defect or hardware issues, it will be replaced or repaired by the manufacturer. So, if your second-hand phone is under warranty, you can get it repaired any time you face any fault on your iPhone. Below mentioned are the ways by which you can check warranty, current support and the service status of your iPhone.

  • Go to your phone’s ‘Settings’ option.
  • Click on the ‘General’ section.
  • After clicking on General, you will see the ‘About’ section.
  • After clicking on the ‘About’ section, you will see all the details of your phone, including Name, Software Version, Model Name, Model No., Serial No., etc.
  • Note down your iPhone’s Serial No., as you will need it to check your iPhone’s warranty if you are buying a Second-hand Phone.
  • Now, go to your Chrome browser. Type ‘Apple Warranty Check’ on the search bar.
  • The 1st option you will see is ‘Check Coverage – Apple’.
  • Click on the ‘Check Coverage – Apple’ Option and the page shown below will open.
  • ‘Enter your serial number’ on the given space, which you have copied from your phone’s ‘Settings’ option.
  • After entering the serial number of your iPhone, you have to enter the correct Captcha code to continue.
  • After clicking on Continue, the below-mentioned page will open, in which you will see all the active services and those which are expired, along with the Estimated Expiration Date for your iPhone’s Warranty.

Apple provides 3 months of ‘Telephonic Technical Support’ to its customers after buying the device. If it shows ‘Expired’ that means the 3 months duration for support has expired.

The ‘Repairs and Service Coverage’ option shows you the Estimated Expiration Date of your phone’s service. It tells you how much duration is left for the warranty in 12 months.
